Dark Captain Light Captain
East London's Dark Captain Light Captain are a six-piece rock
group comprised of Dan Carney (guitar, vocals), Giles Littleford
(guitar, vocals), Neil Kleiner (electronics, vocals), Chin Keeler
(drums), Laura Copsey (brass, vocals) and Michael Cranny (bass,
vocals). In the winter of 2006, Dan and Neil started a string of
late-night recording sessions. From this, they found themselves
in the recording studio with German singer/songwriter Milenasong,
and co-writing the song 'Standby' which appeared on her Seven
Sisters album. Giles was the next to join the band and they
soon landed a deal with with London independent LOAF. In November
2007, they released their first single 'Jealous Enemies' and received
praise from American college radio. But they felt as though they
still needed some more hands in the band. So in March of 2008,
they invited Laura, Chin, and Mike into the fold. Their newest
venture is the forthcoming Circles EP. Backed with support from
Zane Lowe (BBC Radio, MTV) and several others, it was featured
as 'Experimental Single of the Month' in Mixmag and will
pave the way for DCLC's full-length debut, Miracle Kicker, out
on LOAF this fall, as well as plans for a U.S. tour.
