ASL is an L.A. based collective featuring some of the most prominent songwriters in pop. With their shared credits including an array of the biggest hits by today’s top artists. ASL is fronted by John Ryan (One Direction, Maroon 5, Benny Blanco) and Shungudzo (Little Mix, Rudimental) and supported by a revolving set of close friends and collaborators including Julian Bunetta (Thomas Rhett, Niall Horan, Maren Morris, Harry Styles) , Teddy Geiger (Shawn Mendes, Leon Bridges, 5SOS), AFTERHRS (Alesso, Gryffin, Liam Payne), Liza Owen (BTS) and others.

ASL brings each of their albums to life by holing up in a setting selected for its distinct mood and atmosphere — then writing, recording, and producing the entire collection of songs within a 72-hour free-for-all. Their music, although stemming from the writers natural pop roots, cannot be pigeonholed and is a mixed breed of pop, indie, alternative, folk and R&B song writing and production genre’s. With the release of “Til You Pulled Up”, on September 27, ASL launch the campaign for their 3rd album titled “Love Center.

“Love Center” was inspired, first and foremost, by the name of the Airbnb where the album was created. The location of where ASL write and record their EPs always informs the theme and sound, and since the house came pre-named, the band decided to run with the “Love Center” concept. The original intention was to make a whole lotta sweet, sweet, first-kiss-baby-makin’ love songs, and after ASL’s three-day rollercoaster ride in the house, the band realized it created a celebration of all of the phases of love — heartbreak, flirtation, sex, and that highest form of Love that we all aspire to have someday.
